My baby boy is six years old today. I cannot believe how fast the past six years have gone. Six is major. Six means he's leaving little kid-dom behind and entering into big kid land. And doing it, as always, with a goofy grin on his face. At six years old, Shawn is a super smart little dude. He's reading wonderfully and is a math whiz. He is a very stereotypical boy who loves getting dirty, playing with his cars and his action figures and he especially loves to wrestle with his brother, father and Jango. (I'm sure Stella will get in the mix soon enough).
Shawn is off to school today with some goodies to share with his class and tonight we're going to see Night at the Museum 2. Boom! Boom! Fi-yah Pow-ah!! (You know you're walking around your house saying that too) The big swimming party is next weekend and he can't wait.
Happy Birthday to my Shawny, my Shawny Rob, my Sharky Boy, my Booger, my Booger Boo. Happy Birthday Shawn. I love you more than you could possibly imagine.
(I guess this means I have to stop calling these extra pounds I carry around "baby weight". For the record though, Shawn says that he will be my baby "until I die." So perhaps I can continue to call it baby weight until then. )
