Christmas!

It finally came. Christmas is here!! Ryan was up at 6:30 this morning begging to go downstairs. I managed to keep him in bed until 7 when Daddy's alarm went off. (Joe forgot to turn it off). Since I had both the boys in bed with me, Joe was sleeping in the guest room. So with the alarm beeping, I told the boys to go wake Daddy up very nicely and to come back and get me before they go downstairs. I guess they didn't hear the 2nd part because I heard them wake Joe, but then I heard them running down our steps. They were very good boys and waited for me to hobble down there before they started tearing into anything. I wish I could have seen their reaction to our tree, but oh well. They were very excited with all their gifts. Santa brought them everything they asked for and then some. The ripping and tearing was all over in about 20 minutes!

But just as we finished, Gram and Pappy showed up for round 2. The boys and Joe and I all got lots of nice things from Gram and Pappy. The boys got Pappy a Hello Kitty figure and Pappy got each of the boys a baby doll. (Kind of an inside joke between the three of them). Gram and Pappy loved the gifts the boys picked out for them and we hope they liked their gift cards to Red Lobster. They each got one in case they don't want to go together ;) Once all the opening was over, we tore into some of the many Lego sets we got while Gram cooked us all a delicious lunch.

We had such a great day and we're so thankful for everything. And Shawn has already written on our chalkboard advent calendar... 365 days til next Christmas!
