Water!

On Friday, March 19th, I get a text from Joe saying our basement is flooded apparently because our main water line burst. Awesome!! Stupid blue poly pipe!! So he's busy trying to keep more water from pouring in and trying to get in touch with my brother to come help turn off the main. Lucky for us Greg was in the neighborhood and was able to get there w/i about 15 minutes. Otherwise we'd probably have three feet of water in the basement rather than the 3 inches we had. Joe spent most of Friday cleaning up the damage, ripping out the carpet and trying to get the floor to dry. And our neighbor was nice enough to let us use his water for the week. We hooked his ose up to our hose and somehow that pushed water back into our pipes. (I don't really want to know how it works, I'm just thankful that it did!)

This past Saturday the guys came over to fix it. What a mess. But thankfully it's done. The grass will grow back. And all in all didn't cost too much. It's very nice to have a plumber in the family! As well as family and friends who aren't afraid to get dirty and help. Thanks guys!!

Hopefully it won't take too long for the grass to grow back.
